typically used for portrait stills, they can also be used in recording videos.
Capturing images with shallow depths of field with this lens is very easy. Its
large aperture of 1.2 allows a lot of light to enter the lens. Because of this,
the lens shouldn't be a problem when used in low light situations. Its large
aperture also produces a narrow depth of field that blurs the background a bit,
contrasting with the sharpness of the photo’s subject.

If you want to take a photo of something that’s a bit far away from you, then
this is the lens to get. With its widest aperture setting at 2.8, low light
situations could be a bit of a problem with this lens. It should also be noted
that given its massive focal length, this lens could be quite heavy.
This particular lens is great for wildlife shots and sports photographs. It isn’t the best choice for taking videos given its weight. However, this could still be used to take close-up shots from a very high angle. It isn’t the perfect video lens though. |
