When I went shopping recently for a new camera, it was this price point that was the most interesting to me. While these are in the cheap camera category and they didn't have as many features as the more expensive versions, for under 200 bucks you could still have a camera with a lot of useful features and you still had money left over to pay for more things like vacation activities or other necessities.

Getting a digital camera at under $200 is very easy and you can get some pretty awesome cameras even at that low price. If you're willing to pay another $100 there are several great cameras reviewed for that price range here that have some extra features (higher megapixels, full HD video, etc.). Don’t think that being constrained to a budget will prevent you from getting a great camera.
